The second week of the NFL’s 2025 regular season has arrived, and it will see the New England Patriots travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins in a matchup of 0-1 teams. While we will be focused on that particular game this weekend, there are 15 other contests taking place as well between Thursday night and Monday night.
Here is how to watch them, and who to root for. And also, please head down to the comment section to discuss!
Thursday
8:15 p.m. ET
Washington Commanders at Green Bay Packers: Go good game! The Patriots
have no real ties to this All-NFC matchup. You can start the week by leaning back and relax. | Amazon
Sunday
1 p.m. ET
Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens: Go good game! We could really dive deep into potential playoff scenarios or draft pick outlooks, but let’s not go down that road yet. Both teams are on the Patriots’ schedule, so there is no real impact either way. | CBS
Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals: Go Bengals! Strength of schedule is all that matters in this one. | CBS
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys: Go Giants! The Patriots will host the Cowboys in Week 13, meaning that this game also has a strength of schedule factor to be considered. | FOX
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions: Go good game! This one really does not matter from a Patriots point of view. | FOX
San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints: Go 49ers! Yes, strength of schedule would call for the Saints in this one, but there is one real-life and one sentimental reason to root for San Francisco: the Patriots are the owners of New Orleans’ seventh-round draft pick in 2026, while this game will also mark the likely debut of new Niners QB Mac Jones and new Niners WR Kendrick Bourne. | FOX
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets: Go Jets! This one is purely for the sake of a close division race. | CBS
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers: Go Seahawks! Yes, the strength of schedule will take a hit, but NFC over AFC any day. | FOX
Los Angeles Rams at Tennessee Titans: Go Rams! The same applies for this 1 p.m. Sunday game. | CBS
4:05 p.m. ET
Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals: Go Panthers! All-NFC matchup with strength of schedule implications? Go Panthers indeed. | CBS
Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts: Go good game! We could again take far too deep a dive here, but let’s just not. | CBS
4:25 p.m. ET
Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs: Go Eagles! The Patriots own to selections in the 2026 draft originally belonging to the Chiefs. Kansas City dropping to 0-2 would likely still not seriously hurt the team’s playoff outlook, but in the highly unlikely case the team ends up not qualifying for the tournament every loss matters. Better to be safe than sorry. | FOX
8:20 p.m. ET
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings: Go Falcons! Strength of schedule commands us to root for Atlanta in this one. | NBC
Monday
7 p.m. ET
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans: Go Bucs! An AFC versus NFC game with no direct impact on New England? Clear choice. Sorry, Nick Caserio. | ABC/ESPN
10 p.m. ET
Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders: Go Raiders! Yes, they have just beaten the Patriots, but strength of schedule doesn’t care. In reality, though, it matters little who wins this game. | ESPN
