Conference pairings for the 2026-27 Big 12 women’s basketball season have been known for some time, but the Arizona Wildcats now know when they will play each of their league foes. The conference released game dates and times on Thursday morning.
The conference season runs from Saturday, Dec. 19, 2026 through Sunday, Feb. 28, 2027. The teams then head to the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO for the conference tournament. That event runs from Wednesday, Mar. 3 through either Sunday, Mar. 7 or Monday,
Mar. 8. The final will only be played on Monday if BYU is one of the two teams playing.
The season consists of 18 games. Each team has a home-and-home series with three other programs. The rest of the slate is made up of six road and six home games with one game against each of the other 12 teams. Arizona’s home-and-home series will be against Arizona State, Utah, and BYU.
Arizona will be one of the four teams playing on the first day of league competition when it takes on BYU in McKale Center on Saturday, Dec. 19. It’s one of three games the Wildcats play over seven days as they wrap up nonconference against NAU and Oakland on Sunday and Wednesday, but all three are home games.
The ‘Cats get 11 days off after the conference opener. Then, they travel to take on the rebuilt Oklahoma State Cowgirls in Stillwater on Wednesday, Dec. 30. They return home to host Iowa State on Sunday, Jan. 3.
UA hits the road again to face the Kansas schools the following week. It plays the Jayhawks on Wednesday, Jan. 6 then plays the other Wildcats on Saturday, Jan. 9.
A two-game homestand follows. Texas Tech comes to McKale Center on Wednesday, Jan. 13. TCU is in Tucson on Sunday, Jan. 17.
The Wildcats head across the country for matchups against UCF on Wednesday, Jan. 20 and at Houston on Saturday, Jan. 23.
The following week includes the first games of the home-and-home series against Utah and ASU. The Wildcats will host the Utes on Wednesday, Jan. 27. They travel to Tempe for the first of the rivalry games on Saturday, Jan. 30.
Arizona gets a bit of a breather after it plays the Sun Devils. The ‘Cats only have one game the next week and it’s at home. West Virginia comes to Tucson on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The Wildcats have their second game against BYU on Wednesday, Feb. 10. This one is in Provo. The team returns home to face Baylor on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Arizona’s only Tuesday game of the conference season takes place on Feb. 16 when Cincinnati comes to McKale Center. Later in the week, UA hits the road to play Colorado in Boulder on Saturday, Feb. 20.
The Wildcats have a second straight road game when they head back out to face the other former Pac-12 Mountain school. The team takes on Utah in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Arizona wraps up the regular season by hosting ASU on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The Wildcats will be trying to improve on their 15th-place finish and 3-15 record from last year. A top 20 freshman class and key additions from the transfer portal makes it a distinct possibility, but they also face a nonconference schedule that is considerably more difficult than last season.
That out-of-conference slate starts on Nov. 2 when Arizona plays Stanford in Las Vegas as part of the Hall of Fame Series.
The Wildcats will also travel to Jacksonville, Fla. to play in the Jacksonville Classic. Times for those games were recently announced. It starts with a game against Vanderbilt on Monday, Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. MST. The Thanksgiving week festivities end against George Washington on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11:30 a.m. MST.
Broadcast information will be released at a later date, but most games will be on ESPN+.
