Name: Louka Cloutier
Position: Goalie
Year:
SophomoreNumber: 1
Height: 6’2
Hometown: Sherbrooke, Quebec
Last Season: Cloutier had a typical season for a first-year goalie, going 19-13-1 in 33 games with a .910 save percentage. He was a three-time Hockey East Goaltender of the Week, a two-time Rookie of the Week, and the Rookie of the Month in November. He posted four shutouts, his first being a 21-save effort against Vermont. Cloutier was also named the Eberly Award winner during the Beanpot tournament
after backstopping the Eagles to their first tournament win in 10 years with a .950 save percentage over the two games.
Season Outlook: Cloutier and Leo Henriquez will likely split time in net to start the season and push each other to be better goalies. However, Cloutier’s experience last season will probably give him the edge, and having the rest days that he didn’t get a chance to have last season will only benefit him. Having a true 1a-1b pairing in net that the Eagles can rely on will be hugely important, especially for a team that has a very young defense.
Fun Fact: Cloutier is a 5th round draft pick of the Colorado Avalanche.
