Thursday brings us two games on the postseason schedule, both of which had their start times altered due to bad weather in Cleveland.
Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians was originally slated for a 6 p.m. local start at Progressive Field in Cleveland (3 p.m. PT), but on Wednesday was moved to a 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) start in an effort to get ahead of a storm coming through.
The ALCS is tied at one game apiece, and Gavin Williams starts
for Cleveland, after two starts with double-digit strikeouts during the Division Series, plus a scoreless inning of relief mixed in between. The right-hander has a 1.54 ERA with 24 strikeouts in his 11 2/3 innings this October.
Right-hander Griffin Jax will be first on the mound for Tampa Bay.
The ALCS moving to much earlier in the day also caused a switch in the NLCS, with Game 4 between the Dodgers and Brewers shifting from a 6:08 p.m. start time to 5:08 p.m. at Dodger Stadium. Tyler Glasnow starts Game 4 on Thursday, as the Dodgers try to keep their season alive.
Fox Sports has the NL playoffs this year, with TBS televising the AL side.
