Good morning, baseball fans!
The 2026 MLB Playoffs continue today. At least they do in theory.
Both series were 2-0 going into Game 3, and as always, I am writing this before those games have concluded. So it is entirely possible there will be no games today. I just have no way of knowing that yet! But the Cleveland Guardians currently have a 4-1 lead in the fourth inning of their Game 3, so they might end up living to play another game, at least.
Other than that, all I can do is give you the information
for both potential Game 4’s, and a place to talk about them. If one of the series wrapped up yesterday, the time of the other game could change. And if both series wrapped yesterday, then everything below is moot. Except, of course, for the fact that national radio coverage will continue on ESPN Radio as ever.
But if both series end up going another game, then here’s what you can expect.
2:00 p.m. – Guardians @ White Sox – TBS
- As of right now, only Cleveland has a starting pitcher listed for this game and it is Parker Messick (LHP)
5:00 p.m. – Tampa Bay Rays @ New York Yankees – TBS
- As of right now, only the Yankees have a starting pitcher listed for this game, and it is one of the most boo-able former Giants, Carlos Rodón (LHP).
I think I’ve got to root for Tampa Bay and Chicago today. I still can’t stand Rodón after the way he trash talked the San Francisco fans after he left, and I’m kind of pulling for the White Sox overall at this point.
Who are you rooting for today?
