While the Steelers will be without star cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and running back Rico Dowdle for Thursday’s matchup against the Browns, Cleveland will also be down several notable contributors.
According to the Browns’ Wednesday injury report, both starting center Elgton Jenkins and starting right guard Teven Jenkins will be out in the Week 4. The latter has missed every game thus far this season, with rookie Austin Barber largely impressing in replacement despite an up and down performance last
week against the Panthers.
The Browns are expected to start two rookies on their offensive line in Week 4, with Barber joining first-round left tackle Spencer Fano.
Without Elgton Jenkins at center, the Browns are expected to turn to former Ohio State center Luke Wypler, who has yet to play an offensive snap this season. A sixth-round pick in 2023 described as “undersized but highly athletic” pre-draft by Lance Zierlein, Wypler has six career NFL starts with five of them coming last year.
Elsewhere on the Browns’ injury report, wide receiver Tylan Wallace is out, while cornerback Tyson Campbell, safety Grant Delpit and tackle Tytus Howard are good to go despite being limited earlier in the week.
