The full fight card and bout order leading to Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano is now set with Most Valuable Promotions revealing the lineup on Saturday.
The event goes down on Saturday, May 16 from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. with the main card airing live on Netflix with the prelims Netflix’s Tudum and the MVP YouTube page.
Of course, Rousey and Carano clash in the main event with both fighters looking to shake off a lot of ring rust when they finally meet. Rousey hasn’t competed since 2016
when she suffered a second straight knockout loss in the UFC that effectively ended her career.
Now she’s back and healthy again with hopes to erase the bad memories from those fights and potentially close out her career on a win.
As for Carano, she’s fighting for the first time in 17 years after falling to Cris Cyborg in Strikeforce back in 2009. After that loss, Carano put her full attention on becoming an actress and that’s kept her busy up until now.
The co-main event is now set with Nate Diaz taking on Mike Perry in a welterweight bout. While the final bout order wasn’t determined until the full card was released, Diaz and Perry were typically listed as the third fight on the card but now it appears they are taking over the co-main event slot on Saturday.
That puts Francis Ngannou as the third to last fight on the show as he faces fellow UFC veteran Philipe Lins in heavyweight action.
Former two-division KSW champion and highly touted prospect Salahdine Parnasse makes his first appearance on American soil when he faces Kenneth Cross in a lightweight fight.
Finally, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos returns to MMA to face Robelis Despaigne in the opening bout on the main card, which kicks off at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday on Netflix.
The prelims are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET with Namo Fazil clashing with Jake Babian in the featured welterweight scrap on the card.
