Rumors for the Day:
- Talk of a WWE Draft “has gone quiet” within the company, according to Bodyslam.net’s Patreon. The same outlet had heard WWE was planning to hold a Draft right around this time, but says it’s now off the table. Talent moves will be handled like the recent swap of LA Knight and Sami Zayn instead.
- ”Numerous people of influence within WWE” are pushing for the company to run a premium live event in Hong Kong soon, per Fightful Select.
- A representative for Philadelphia’s local branch of the stagehands union (IATSE) told Post Wrestling it’s “unfortunate that AEW chose for this run to go to a non-union venue”, but that the union’s issues with AEW’s current residency are “largely between us and the 2300 Arena”. The rep, Phil Effinger, also mentioned IATSE’s “long, fruitful relationship with AEW”.
- During an interview with The Escapist, Ric Flair claimed that talent ”don’t make any money” from WWE’s 2K games “unless you’re on the cover”.
- Fightful’s sources tell that them that Hook picked his new theme song himself.
- The new El Clon character introduced on Collision last Saturday is played by Arez, says Luchablog. Arez is a former AAA Tag champ who’s worked for MLW, TNA & GCW in the U.S. He has extensive history in Mexico with Aramis, who plays Hologram.
