Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen recently extended his contract to 2029, with an option of a further year. He joins director of sport Max Eberl in extending their stay at the club, albeit Eberl’s stay isn’t as long. The club seems content with letting Dreesen continue in his position but in the event that a replacement is needed, the Bavarians fortunately have an in-house successor lined up: Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing and Sales:
It’s not out of the question that Dreesen’s successor and Bayern’s next CEO is already at the club: Rouven Kasper. During the short time in his role as Chief Marketing Officer, Kasper has already secured a number of lucrative sponsorship deals with high-profile companies. He’s regarded as an absolute top dealmaker. Kasper is also the driving force behind the recent cooperation with the NHL, which has attracted considerable attention worldwide. The 44-year-old is also popular among the players, which is another argument for him [@mano_bonke, @kessler_philipp]
Dreesen’s contract runs until 2029 and he can exercise the option to extend his stay to 2030.
