Real Madrid C.F. and captain Dani Carvajal have agreed to conclude a remarkable chapter in his tenure with the club at the close of the current season.
Real Madrid extends its gratitude and deep affection to one of the most significant legends in the club’s history, and in global football.
Carvajal is among five players in the sport’s history to secure six European Cups, having been an integral
part of a team that defined one of the most illustrious eras in our club’s narrative.
He joined Real Madrid in 2002, donning the jersey for 23 seasons: 10 with the academy and 13 with the senior squad. During this time, he amassed 27 titles, including six European Cups, six Club World Cups, five UEFA Super Cups, four La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, and four Spanish Super Cups.
Individually, Carvajal was named to the FIFPro World XI in 2024, received The Best FIFA Men’s XI award in 2024, and was designated the Man of the Match in the 2024 Champions League final, where he also scored a goal.
Carvajal participated in 450 matches for the club, netting 14 goals.
With the Spanish national team, he earned 51 caps, contributing to the Euro 2024 championship and the 2023 Nations League title.
Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, stated: “Dani Carvajal is a legend and an emblem of Real Madrid and its academy. His image alongside our beloved and remembered Alfredo Di Stéfano, laying the first stone of Ciudad Real Madrid, will forever reside in the hearts of all Madridistas and in the history of our club. Carvajal has consistently embodied the values of Real Madrid in an exemplary manner. This is and always will be his home.”
Real Madrid wishes Dani Carvajal and his family the best in this new phase of his life.
The Santiago Bernabéu stadium will pay tribute to him this Saturday, coinciding with the team’s final league match of the season.
Carvajal won 27 titles with Real Madrid and leaves the club as one of the greatest legends in club history.
