A stellar year at the NBA G-League level for Maryland men’s basketball alum Jahmir Young continues with another weekly accolade.
The Sioux Falls Skyforce guard — on a two-way contract with the Miami Heat — earned G-League Player of the Week honors for a three-game stretch in which he averaged 32.3 points and 10.3 assists per game.
Young scored at least 30 points in all three games, and added
a double-double with assists in two of them.
It’s a continuation of a year where Young has solidified himself as one of the best players in the G-League. He’s averaging 26.7 points and 9.7 assists per game — both third-best in the league.
Young hasn’t been called up to his NBA side since early December, but things could change with a stretch like he’s having.
