Entering Week 3 of the 2026 season, there are many reasons for the Seattle Seahawks and their fans to be feeling great. After defeating the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, the Seahawks set a franchise record with twelve straight wins(including playoffs). On top of that, one of those
wins was a Super Bowl victory. With all of the winning, it would be a shock to see a large sample of fans feel that the team is not headed in the right direction. However, let’s find out what polled Seahawks fans thought.
As to nobody’s surprise, a whopping 96% of polled Seahawks fans are confident the team is headed in the right direction. When the team keeps winning as they are, this makes a lot of sense. The only thing I remain curious about is why the four percent of polled fans are not confident in the direction the team is heading. For arguments sake, there could be some caution about the team’s recent injury news. Both starting safeties, Ty Okada and Julian Love, will be out against the Washington Commanders. However, neither of these injuries appear to be long term. On top of that, starting quarterback, Sam Darnold will be returning this week. The placement of right guard Anthony Bradford on injured reserve could be a potential reason for concern, however backups Christian Haynes and Beau Stephens both looked promising in their snaps against the Cardinals. Perhaps the four percent of polled fans are simply cautiously optimistic about the team rather than confident? Or maybe they just hit the wrong button as this author has accidentally done in the past.
Moving into the Commanders game, the Seahawks enter the week as heavy favorites against the Marcus Mariota led team. Do Seahawks fans agree that the team will win this weekend? And if so, by how much?
Of the polled Seahawks fans, the overwhelming majority believe Seattle will take care of business this week, and by a decent margin. 89 percent of polled Seahawks fans believe the team will win by at least 9 points, with 36 percent believing it will be a blowout of 17 or more points. Only six percent of polled Seahawks fans believe that the Commanders will pull off the upset. This is not a surprising result considering the results of the poll above, the Seahawks winning 12 straight games, and now with quarterback Sam Darnold returning. Likely for these same reasons, the national media all appear to believe the Seahawks take care of business this weekas well. Time will tell if all of these predictions come true.
