Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies is beginning to get more serious about a potential comeback at the World Cup for Canada.
Davies, who suffered a torn ACL during the 2024/25 season, had three injuries in the second half the season, which has reportedly started to make the club have some doubt about the Canadian’s long-term ability to stay healthy.
Davies spoke about his potential comeback, but did not commit to anything.
“I’m happy to be back on the pitch doing some running. I can’t really say right
now. Obviously, I can say yes or no, but it all depends on how the rehab goes. We just have to see how everything goes over the next couple of days. I just continue my rehab, my progression and see how I’m feeling, day by day, step by step. Time will tell,” said Davies (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Joshua Kloke of The Athletic caught some footage of Davies doing some running ahead of Canada’s 2-0 victory over Uzbekistan.
