A League Cup tie against Championship strugglers Southampton means a chance for Arne Slot to rest and rotate, and the Liverpool manager has already confirmed that stars including Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai are almost certain not to be involved.
