With the Browns winning two straight games and a chance to now take the division lead tonight against the Steelers, fan confidence increased by 8 percentage this week up to 68%. That means we’ve reached a bit of cautious optimism territory, with fans being pleased with what they’re seeing, but still leaving some breathing room if the quarterback situation throws things into chaos. Steelers fans have a confidence level of 65% in the direction of their team.

With the short week, instead of asking who fans would win between Pittsburgh and Cleveland, I zoned in on the sudden turnaround for QB Deshaun Watson. We asked what fans thought of him after two straight wins.
Overall, 41% of Browns fans are taking a middle ground approach, saying they will tolerate him for now. 19% of fans think he’s looking great. The remaining 39% still want a quarterback change this season, despite the progress he’s made.
The results represent a clear shift in more fans supporting Watson, but as you can tell, the fanbase is still quite divided. Watson still has a lot more work to do if he’s going to win over more fans, and even then, it might be impossible after what has transpired up until this year.
According to FanDuel, the Browns are 2.5 point underdogs against the Steelers this week, with the over/under being 38.5.
