San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided injury updates on Monday afternoon. He confirmed Kyle Juszczyk has a hyperextended knee. Juice is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
Safety Marques Sigle has a high ankle sprain. He’ll miss some time. How much remains to be seen. Sigle is expected to miss multiple weeks. Malik Mustapha will slide into Sigle’s role.
Cornerback Upton Stout will be day-to-day with an AC issue in his shoulder. If Stout can’t play, Shanahan said Ephesians Prysock is a candidate
to play for Stout. That’s interesting. On Sunday, Deommodore Lenoir played nickel, with Jack Jones moving to the outside.
Staying with cornerbacks, Nate Hobbs is “getting close” and could return to practice soon, depending on where he is in rehab.
Mykel Williams will participate in team drills this week. The 49ers hope to activate him Sunday against Seattle, pending a good week of practice. The 49ers are not anticipating Nick Bosa or James Thompson Jr. to play against the Seahawks.
Wide receiver Christian Kirk is still on track to return to practice in Week 6, as this week isn’t an option. Based on how the wideouts have performed to date, outside of Mike Evans, Kirk will be relied on in the passing game. Speaking of Evans, he had no setbacks on Sunday after playing through a rib injury.
