Barcelona star Lamine Yamal says France should be afraid of Spain after La Roja booked a semi-final date with Les Bleus at World Cup 2026.
A late winner from Mikel Merino completed a 2-1 win for Spain over Belgium and set up a mouth-watering semi final against Kylian Mbappe and Co.
France have looked almost unstoppable so far at the tournament but Yamal says they should fear Spain.
“We’re very happy to be in the semis. Very pleased with the qualification. We’ve been far superior,” he said after beating
Belgium.
“All the other teams are behind us. We came here to win, and that’s all that matters.
“They should be afraid of us; we’ve beaten them twice. We’re not afraid of them. I think we’re the two best teams.”
Spain face France on Tuesday at World Cup 2026 in Dallas.
