The Orioles announced their 2026 season schedule for promotions and giveaway items on Thursday afternoon. This is getting a much earlier start on the schedule compared to what the team has done recently.
Each of the last two seasons, they did not do the announcement until January.
The initial announcement about these items and dates does not provide any information about how many fans will receive the giveaway item. The Orioles have not been giving away sufficient numbers to meet demand in recent years. I expect that trend is going to continue now that they are trying to silo off guaranteeing the giveaway items to season ticket holders whose regular plans include a scheduled giveaway date.
This is the full list of giveaway dates from the announcement:
- March 26 (Twins) – Magnet schedule
- March 28 (Twins) – Kyle Bradish jersey hoodie
- March 29 (Twins) – Kids color-in pennant
- April 11 (Giants) – Jackson Holliday and dog bobblehead
- April 25 (Red Sox) – Hockey jersey
- May 10 (Athletics) – Denim crab cap

Except for Opening Day and the Monday of Memorial Day weekend, all giveaway dates are Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. The team charges substantially more to attend those games compared to weeknights.
For the most part, this is a familiar-feeling set of giveaway items. The Bradish jersey hoodie might be the most unique, in that I don’t think “jersey” and “hoodie” have been combined before. Hot dog race shirt giveaways have proven popular, so ketchup/mustard/relish hats probably will be too. Maybe the denim crab cap will be the right level of kitsch to wear to the stadium. I was skeptical of this year’s “yacht rock” cap but those turned out great, especially combined with the 2025 edition Hawaiian shirt.
