WWE Crown Jewel is all set to take place tomorrow morning (Sat., Oct. 11, 2025) from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. It begins at the unusually early start time of 7 am ET with the Countdown show leading
right on into the main course at 8 am ET on ESPN in the U.S. or Netflix everywhere else.
Because of the early start time, we’re posting this before SmackDown airs via tape delay. Spoilers are available for that show, however, and you can get them here. We are taking that into account with these predictions.
Luckily for you Cagesiders, our staff of learned wrestling blowhards is here to help figure out just how the event is going to play out with predictions for each match on the card.
Let’s get to it.
WWE CROWN JEWEL PREDICTIONS
Crown Jewel Championship: Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins
Geno Mrosko: After Paul Heyman upped the ante, it feels highly unlikely Rollins loses again. It seems more likely Brock Lesnar will be recruited to help ensure Rollins wins in something of a surprise that doesn’t hurt Rhodes too much in taking the loss. Heyman said he’s Seth’s secret weapon, after all. Perhaps a deal will be made for a future title match or something. Pick: Seth Rollins
Sean Rueter: It can’t happen yet. But some persistent grumbling about the latest WWE title run for the American Nightmare (wow, that nickname sure fits the times, don’t it), and Roman acting like a bigger jerk on Monday nights, it seems like they’re already planting seeds for future twists and possible turns in Raw and SmackDown’s World title scenes. They can lean into that intrigue more by giving people more reasons to resent QB1, and possibly embrace The Vision. Pick: Cody Rhodes
Kyle Decker: I still think in the end, Cody is the man and Seth is behind him. So there is part of me that says they just got ahead and allow him to pick up the win. But given all of Seth’s weapons, that’d be bad for Rollins. So I think they use this moment to kick off the Randy Orton heel turn and end the year with that feud. That would give Cody an excuse for losing and allow folks to quickly forgot that their top babyface took this lost. Pick: Seth Rollins
Claire Elizabeth: Much like Captain Britain, Cody Rhodes’ powers wane the further he gets from his homeland, whereas Seth’s vision is clear and true, and even if native son Bronson Reed might end up too banged up from his street fight to help out, Paul E always finds away. Pick: Seth Rollins
Cain A. Knight: Cody already won the Crown Jewel belt and ring last year. It’s time for someone else to win the prizes and then forget these things even exist until next year’s show. I bet Randy Orton accidentally screws over his buddy while trying to thwart interference from The Brons. Pick: Seth Rollins
Marcus Benjamin: Considering everything Paul E. said recently, I’m siding with Seth. I think he’s got more at stake than Philly. Cody doesn’t need this, Seth does. And in fact, it’s Cody who is coming off as the arrogant front runner here. Seth serves up some humble pie while also boosting The Vision. Pick: Seth Rollins
Crown Jewel Championship: Tiffany Stratton vs. Stephanie Vaquer
Geno Mrosko: I don’t think Vaquer should be losing here but I can’t imagine they beat Stratton here. I’ll simply continue saying it was silly to ever book this match. Pick: Tiffany Stratton
Sean Rueter: While I get why WWE pushes her, I’ve personally never been a huge fan of the Women’s champ. The Women’s World champ, on the other hand, has impressed me from first glance. Going entirely with personal preference for this one. Pick: Stephanie Vaquer
Kyle Decker: Vaquer shouldn’t lose her first match since winning the title. Tiffany is established as champion and she can afford the loss. Vaquer’s championship run would be tough if she lost right out of the gate, even if it were to a fellow champion. Pick: Stephanie Vaquer
Claire Elizabeth: Vaquer is hungry and eager to prove herself as champion whereas Stratton has started to buy into her own hype a little bit too much for my tastes. It’s gonna be a close one, but I got the Dark Angel here. Pick: Stephanie Vaquer
Cain A. Knight: I don’t think Tiffy Time is taking her first loss of 2025 in a match for a meaningless Crown Jewel ring with very little story otherwise. Pick: Tiffany Stratton
Marcus Benjamin:While I wouldn’t pick against Tiffany in ordinary circumstances, she’s going up against Stephanie Vaquer. Far from ordinary circumstances. I’m not sure how they find some way to make both women look good here but I think that’s the goal. Either way, the winner is La Primera. Pick: Stephanie Vaquer
Australian Street Fight: Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed
Geno Mrosko: There’s no world that exists where Reed is winning this match. Pick: Roman Reigns
Sean Rueter: Just cause I want to believe Pat McAfee had a reason to ask Reigns how he felt 900 times on Wednesday… Pick: Bronson Reed
Kyle Decker: C’mon now. Pick: Roman Reigns
Claire Elizabeth: “Big” Bronson Reed is fighting his specialty match in his home country, against the most dominant star WWE has had to offer this decade. It’s gonna be a hoot, and likely closer than it looks, and most definitely Bronson will get his heat back after the fact with the help of the Vision, but I only see this going one way. Pick: Roman Reigns
Cain A. Knight: Roman Reigns doesn’t lose singles matches against wrestlers who aren’t main eventers. Pick: Roman Reigns
Marcus Benjamin: Akuma didn’t come back to Australia just to lose. Pick: Roman Reigns
John Cena vs. AJ Styles
Geno Mrosko: The not so slow build towards realizing he truly doesn’t have it anymore and this retirement is perfectly timed continues. Pick: AJ Styles
Sean Rueter: What a weird little program, in a weird-ass last year for the Never Seen 17. Maybe that dope-ass nickname and some really good matches are all we really need to say goodbye to the jorts-wearing superman we love, and/or love to hate? It’s what we’re getting, so let’s go with that. Anyway… the guy who’s retiring first should probably win this. Pick: John Cena
Kyle Decker: Cena needs a win to make his putting someone over on the way out mean anything at all (and it won’t mean too much at one point). Pick: John Cena
Claire Elizabeth: Gosh I wish WWE did time limit draws because if I could write the story of this match, that’s how I’d have it go down. But they don’t, and I don’t really see this ending in a double countout or double DQ, so they’re gonna fight hard but ol’ John Boy’s gonna squeak one out. Pick: John Cena
Cain A. Knight: Cena needs a win after that pathetic Lesnar squash, and he can definitely beat a former rival who is also retiring relatively soon. Pick: John Cena
Marcus Benjamin: Maybe it’s my soft spot for Christopher Smith but I’m not picking against John Cena right now. Despite how much I adore AJ and believe him when he said he can’t wait to beat up John Cena. Pick: John Cena
Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky vs. The Kabuki Warriors
Geno Mrosko: It’s Rhea Ripley in Australia. Pick: Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky
Sean Rueter: We’re Down Under, RhIYO is over, and Kairi’s inner conflict protects the heels in defeat. Even I could book this one! Pick: Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY
Kyle Decker: The home country girl will pick up the win here. Pick: Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky
Claire Elizabeth: The biggest question to me here is “can Kairi Sane break away from Asuka’s grip even just a little bit” and alas I think the answer is “no, not yet.” Pick: IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley
Cain A. Knight: Rhea Ripley isn’t losing in Australia. Pick: Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY
Marcus Benjamin: They left IYO in a bad way on Raw. That means this is Mami to the rescue. Pick: Rhea Ripley
That’s how we see the card playing out.
How about you?
