Get ready for a new way to watch Bayern vs. BVB (Bild via @iMiaSanMia)
It seems like Der Klassiker is about to get a whole new look for Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund:
A world first in professional football: The Bundesliga clash between Bayern and Borussia Dortmund on October 31 will be broadcast live for the first time in a completely virtual toy world. The actual positions and movements of all players and the ball will be shown live in the style of the iconic Playmobil figures. It’s the first time worldwide that a full-length match of a professional football league
is being presented live in a virtual world
This is made possible by so-called “skeletal data”: Since the 2025/26 season, the bodies of all Bundesliga players have been captured in 3D. 21 defined data points – including the head, shoulders, hips, arm and leg joints, as well as heels and toes – are displayed. The 3D data also forms the basis for semi-automatic offside detection. A different body shell (such as a Playmobil figure) can be superimposed over these skeletons, but the movements remain realistic. And now, for the first time, fans can watch this live on TV
Like the actual real game, the Playmobil world game will also be shown on Sky Sport and RTL+, under the title “Sky Sport Special – Next Level”.
If this sounds familiar, it is similar to what the NFL does on Nickelodeon or with their alt casts like this one below with The Simpsons.
This likely will not be something most traditional fans want to see, but younger fans could be intrigued. What do you think?
Kane makes Team of the Week (UEFA Champions League)
Harry Kane’s goal and assist vs. Arsenal were enough to get him a spot on the UEFA Nations League Team of the Week:
Gunners in on Tresoldi (ESPN)
Arsenal could be joining the hunt for Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi, who seems to be gaining more fans by the day:
Arsenal have joined the race to sign Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi, according to The Sun. The 22-year-old has caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs following his Champions League hat trick against Inter Milan, as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attacking options. The Gunners are also in the final stages of negotiations with midfielder Declan Rice over a new long-term contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.

LFC, PSG eyeing Brunner? (Fußball News journalist Ekrem Konur)
Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping a close eye on Germany youth international Paris Brunner:
EXCL AS Monaco’s striker Paris Brunner is targeted by European powerhouses! Liverpool and PSG monitor closely, while Borussia Dortmund hold a key matching-right clause. Monaco demand a minimum of €30M!
Falk doesn’t know if Bayern would exercise matching right on Ličina (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Former Bayern Munich academy star Adin Ličina is having some success for Cremonese while on loan from Juventus, but Sport Bild’s Christian Falk is not sure if the Bavarians will exercise their matching right on the 19-year-old:
The matching right for Adin Ličina — He’s an interesting player! I’m not sure what Bayern are planning to do in his case. They currently have a lot of talents. Don’t forget one talent currently on FC Bayern’s books, Javi Fernández, who you have to keep an eye on. He’s 19 years old and on loan at FC Nürnberg. Miroslav Klose, our famous striker with the World Cup-winning Germany team, said he knew only two players who were that good already at that age, and these were Thomas Müller and Toni Kroos. Big names! Bayern has a lot of quality young talents on the books, and that’s without mentioning players currently filing out for the senior team! They have Lennart Karl, Tom Bischof, Jonas Urbig, Nathaniel Brown, Aleksandar Pavlović, the list goes on. So, it’s hard for young players to get regular minutes. With that in mind, I would wait to see what happens with Ličina.
