Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Vikings fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for our latest SB Nation Reacts survey about our Minnesota Vikings, where we ask you, our readers, about a topic concerning our favorite team. We’ve had a few questions for you to ponder in recent weeks, and now we want you to speculate on one of
the few questions that has lingered since the end of last season.
In the Week 18 contest against the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium, safety Harrison Smith got a bit of a hero’s sendoff at the end of the game, fueling speculation that he was going to be hanging up his spikes after 14 seasons in purple. As of the start of the new league year, he still had not formally made a decision, and the team released him as a 1 June cut for procedural reasons. When Kevin O’Connell was asked about the situation during mini-camp, he said that Smith had still not come to a decision one way or another about his NFL future.
So, we want to know what you think will happen with the longest-tenured member of the team at this point. Do you think Harrison Smith is going to come back for his fifteenth season with the Vikings? Do you think that decision is going to come before the team reports for training camp in about a month? Or do you think we might see a mid-season return for the Hitman?
As always, we invite you to participate in our survey by casting your vote in the poll below, as well as by sounding off in the comments section.
Have at it, everyone! We’ll have the results of this one for you sometime later this week.
