The transfer portal window opened on Tuesday and Villanova wasted no time scheduling its first visit.
Oregon big man Kwame Evans will be on campus this week visiting Villanova, according to multiple reports. Evans will be a highly-sought after player in the transfer portal. He is currently ranked as the No. 26 transfer in the nation by 247Sports.
Evans is expected to test the waters of the 2026 NBA Draft as well but maintained his eligibility to return to school.
Evans spent the first three years of
his career at Oregon. He averaged 13.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this past season. He recorded four double-doubles and put up 1.3 blocks per game as well.
The 6-foot-10 junior originally committed to the Ducks out of Montverde Academy in 2022. He was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 1 player in Florida by 247Sports. As a transfer, he is the sixth-rated power forward.
Villanova will be in the mix for multiple big men this offseason. Duke Brennan manned the center position for the Wildcats and has exhausted his eligibility. Villanova also got word that Braden Pierce intends to enter the transfer portal. He backed up Brennan last season and this leaves gapping holes in the frontcourt.
