Lead Rumor: Roman Reigns’ schedule
Roman Reigns may be the world heavyweight champion but he still works a relatively light schedule, all things considered. When WWE announced his fall dates, Fightful Select notes that schedule became a topic of discussion within the company.
As it turns out, it was TKO who made the request to make this a busier year for The Tribal Chief.
Although we don’t have an explanation as to exactly why, the fact that it happened at all is part of the discussion. Really, it’s pretty simple.
Reigns is arguably
the top star for the entire company, and the folks running the company want him around more. Nothing too crazy about that.
And shouldn’t we be grateful for it? He’s still delivering the goods in the ring.
Here’s to even more of that.
Other rumors floating around
- Per Fightful, WWE officials were happy NXT beat AEW in the head-to-head ratings battle last week while AEW was simply pleased with how the show performed despite a drop in numbers in an unusual time slot.
- With Laynie Luck and Marcus Mathers departing the WWE ID program, there are now questions about the entire thing, says Fightful Select. Those departures “raised concerns internally.”
- For what it’s worth, lead WWE commentator Michael Cole told Outkick he wants to work until he’s 65-years-old, and that he’s given up all his backstage roles at WWE in recent years in favor of simply being an on-screen talent.
- Here’s one: Talent Agent Nick Lopiccolo told Duke Loves Wrestling that if Liv Morgan didn’t hurt her shoulder, she likely would have been Cammy in the Street Fighter movie.
