TCU redshirt sophomore guard Jace Posey will reportedly enter the transfer portal after three years with the Horned Frogs. Posey, who redshirted in his first year with TCU, averaged 4.6 points, 2.3 rebounds on 45 percent shooting during his redshirt sophomore campaign. Posey appeared in 31 games with three starts last season, averaging 4.3 points and 2.3 rebounds on 42.1% shooting and 27.8% shooting from 3-point range.
Posey played in 27 games during the 2025-26 season, but the 6-foot-5 guard fell out of the rotation by the time TCU entered the NCAA Tournament. A four-star recruit out of high school and the son of former NBA player James Posey, Jace will depart Fort Worth with two years of eligibility remaining. Posey is the second TCU men’s basketball player to enter the transfer portal. Former Kansas State transfer R.J. Jones entered after two years with the Horned Frogs. TCU finished with a 23-12 record and reached the second round of the tournament.
