Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant has been upgraded to available to play versus the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Play-In Tournament tonight, the team announced. Grant entered the day as questionable to play after missing Portland’s last seven games due to a right calf strain.
The 12-year NBA veteran should be a key reinforcement for the Blazers against the Suns in the 7-8 matchup of the Play-In. Grant has averaged 18.6 points per game while shooting 38.9% from behind the 3-point line in 57 appearances
this season, including 38 starts. He last appeared on the floor during Portland’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on March 27.
With Grant available, guard Damian Lillard is the only Blazers player unavailable to play tonight. That’s the first time that has happened all season. Not bad timing.
The Blazers tip off against the Suns in Phoenix at 7 p.m. Pacific. The game will be shown on Amazon Prime.
