This is not the post-Heisman season the Colorado Buffaloes wanted. After two tough losses to BYU and Georgia Tech and a blowout against Houston, Coach Prime and the Buffs are 2-3. Good thing they are entering the toughest stretch of the schedule. In October, CU plays TCU, Iowa State and Utah. Light work, right?
That daunting stretch starts with TCU on October 4. The Buffs, who have not been down to Dallas OR Fort Worth to play the Horned Frogs since Deion Sanders’ FBS coaching debut in 2023, will
return to face a team still led by Sonny Dykes. There, they will be greeted by college football’s best (?) quarterback, Josh Hoover. Yikes.
If you ask Vegas, the Buffs don’t stand a chance. The current odds for the game between the Colorado Buffaloes and the TCU Horned Frogs are tilted slightly in the horny toads’ favor. More than slightly. CU stands as a 13.5 point underdog in Dallas, with a game over/under of 57.5. I’m not a math guy, but I think that means the projected score is 35-21?
Honestly, with what we’ve seen so far, sounds about right. But that’s we play the games, to be proven wrong.
