There are big expectations for Will Stein and the Kentucky Wildcats offense going into his first season in 2026. That’s why there will be a lot of attention on who they bring in via the transfer portal
on the offensive side of the ball, particularly at the skill players and quarterback.
Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons is set to visit Kentucky, along with fellow SEC rivals Arkansas and Texas A&M.
Simmons is coming off a 2025 season where he caught 25 passes for 457 yards and two touchdowns. The key thing here is that Simmons averaged 18.3 yards per reception. That means he can stretch the field, and Stein will certainly want that in his high-octane offense.
In 2024, Simmons caught 40 passes for 451 yards and three touchdowns.
Are these eye-popping numbers? Not necessarily. But a change of scenery could be beneficial to Simmons. There is new air in Kentucky’s football program. It’s fresh. Sometimes, a fresh start is all a player needs.
If Simmons decides to play for Kentucky, the Wildcats may be getting a player who can really help their offense take off.
