There’s no playoff game today, so let’s have an Open Thread.
My day’s opened up. I was going to go for lunch with an old friend, but something came up (he realized he didn’t want to go for lunch with me) (I’m kidding, I think). It is probably good; I was ‘social’ yesterday, and I can only do that so often.
But I was going to work out after lunch. Now I have to make myself go. It is easier if I’m out for another reason and then stop at the gym on the way home. I did well over the summer; I set goals
and reached them. I’m going to try to maintain until the new year, then maybe set new goals.
Anyway, tomorrow we have game five of the White Sox/Guardians series. Yesterday’s game couldn’t keep my attention until, suddenly, it did. When you don’t care much about either team, a pitching duel isn’t that interesting, but when guys start hitting, it is more fun.
And, of course, there is no Jays news of interest.
So use the thread to talk about anything you’d like, with the usual caveats (which are generally ignored, so you’ve got to wonder why I mention them).
