There were multiple reports yesterday indicating that WrestleMania 43 is going to Saudi Arabia in 2027. Today, Wrestling Observer Radio’s
Dave Meltzer provided more details on what Saudi Arabia has planned for WWE’s biggest event of the year.First, Meltzer emphasized that Turki Alalshikh (Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority) is the money guy who is the Final Boss for the event, and he plans to load up WrestleMania 43 with every star imaginable.
“They’re putting up an incredible
amount of money. A ridiculous amount of money. And the idea is to present the most star-studded show ever, by far. Everyone, anyone. Money is no object. Any name you can imagine, obviously they’re going to be after.
…Turki is running the show…the final boss is Turki, because he’s the guy with all the money in the world at his disposal.”
As far as the star-studded nature of the show is concerned, Meltzer says many major retired legends will be contacted about returning to WWE for a huge pay day to work Saudi WrestleMania in 2027.
“They’re paying the money for it. They have matches that they want, and that they’re working really, really hard to get…I don’t know if they’re gonna be able to get them, but they’re gonna spend a lot of money to get what they want, obviously.
…Anyone coming out of retirement that wants to come out of retirement, of big name value, will be able to get a lot of money for this show. Yes, that’s what they want.”
Do you expect to see legends like The Undertaker and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin come out of retirement for a seven-figure pay day to work a match WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia? Will The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar be booked for the show? What about Ric Flair’s Actual Last Match, and maybe one more retirement match for Goldberg or John Cena? Which other stars from the past do you think are in play for the event?
