Fans missing Arizona men’s basketball can start to look forward to next season a little bit early. The 2026 Red-Blue Showcase is set to happen on Saturday, Sept. 26 with another edition of the Post/Move Concert to follow.
It will be a Saturday filled with Arizona Athletics events as the football team will travel to Pullman to take on Washington State that same day.
Information like start time, concert location, and musical
artists will be announced at a later date. Last year, the headlines included Shaquille O’Neal (DJ Diesel), Michael Schwartz (Mix Master Mike) and head coach Tommy Lloyd (DJ Tomm-E).
Arizona football alumni Rob Gronkowski was a judge for the dunk contest, adding to the star studded night. The showcase and the concert were precursors to the first Final Four run since 2001.
The Wildcats return two players from last season’s starting lineup in Ivan Kharchenkov and Motiejus Krivas. The offseason also brought the addition of multiple transfer portal additions, highlighted by North Carolina transfer Derek Dixon.
Arizona will also bring in the No. 1 ranked shooting guard from the high school ranks in Caleb Holt. His counterpart, Cameron Holmes, was ranked as the No. 12 overall shooting guard.
In ESPN’s “Way-Too-Early” top 25, Arizona was ranked as the 10th-best team in the country. It’s still a long way away from the Wildcats’ trip to Lithuania in August, but fans will be able to see what next year’s team will look like before the season begins.
For now, fans can speculate who will be headlining the Post/Move concert following the Red-Blue showcase. Will Shaq make another appearance, or will there be a new headliner?
