According to this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, confidence in the Buccaneers has cratered to a level usually reserved for expired coupons and “trust me” text messages.
And honestly, can you blame anyone?
Only 8% of Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans believe the team is heading in the right direction.
Yes, eight.
Tampa Bay entered the season with expectations of being competitive in the NFC South, but the early results have done very little to inspire confidence. Injuries have piled up, the offense has struggled
to consistently finish drives, and the Buccaneers are now dealing with life without quarterback Baker Mayfield for at least the immediate future.
That leaves 92% of the fanbase apparently staring at the current state of the team and saying, “Yeah, we’re playing for the draft.”
The remaining 8%? Respect.
That is either unwavering loyalty, elite-level optimism, or a group of people who accidentally clicked the wrong button. Either way, they are holding the line.
For Tampa Bay, the quickest way to change the mood is obvious: start winning football games.
Because at 8%, there really is nowhere to go but up.
