The Utah Jazz are on the verge of the most important stretch of the season, and they have to make a choice and act on it. In our latest Utah Jazz Reacts poll, I asked Jazz fans what they want to do for the rest of the season, and the answer was extremely clear.
That’s right, a whopping 81% of Jazz fans want to tank this season to keep their pick. In all the time I’ve done these Reacts polls, I don’t know if I’ve gotten a consensus like this for Jazz fans before. The reality is, Jazz fans are completely
correct. Utah is not going to make the playoffs this year, especially if they have any injury to one of their core players. The reality is that Utah has to start tanking, and tanking hard. Any win for the rest of the season is a massive problem, considering everyone else in the tank race is going to be doing the same thing. Problem is, they were already ahead of the Jazz in the tank race, and Utah is clinging to the 6th spot in the tank race. Utah ABSOLUTELY needs to get to 5th or 4th to be safe, and only the 4th spot assures they don’t fall past 8.
Whatever the Jazz do, whether it’s strategic resting, trades, or a combination of the two, it’s now time for them to do what their fans want, and that’s tank for a chance to win a top pick in the best draft in years.
