Kevin Nash recently made it clear that he’s not a fan of The Usos becoming caught up in Roman Reigns’ feud with CM Punk.
Reigns is set to face Punk at WrestleMania 42 for The Second City Saint’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and their rivalry has become steadily more heated in recent weeks. During the March 23 episode of Raw, The Usos joined their cousin in the ring for an altercation with Punk.
First, Jey entered the ring to confront Punk before Jimmy attempted to stop him. Reigns ordered them
both away, but Jey eventually charged Punk, but was laid out, leading to his brother and Roman taking on the champ. The encounter ended with Reigns spearing Punk and putting him through the announcer’s table.
During this week’s episode of the Kliq This podcast, Nash discussed The Usos involvement in the Reigns/Punk storyline with co-host Sean Oliver. Needless to say, the WWE Hall of Famer was not very enthusiastic about what he saw, and he went as far to compare The Bloodline to the late days of his former stable, the nWo, when it seemed like practically every member of the WCW roster had been cycled through the faction.
“I think The Bloodline’s played out,” Nash said. “I think it’s like nWo—you know—the 33rd revision of the nWo. I think it’s played out.”
The wrestling legend continued: “You can’t tie up The Usos too much with Roman, because Roman came out a week or two ago and said basically, ‘Yes, I’m part-time. I’m going to raise my kids. I’m going to spend time with my wife.’ I mean, thank god the business has become lucrative enough and has been able to put these guys in a position where they don’t have to wake up at 67-years-old and feel like we do.”
Nash wrapped up talk on the topic by speculating that LA Knight could still become involved in the angle for WrestleMania 42.
