Harry Kane has had an electrifying season. Bayern Munich have just won a Bundesliga plus DFB Pokal domestic double, and the England captain has been at the center of it all, scoring a hat-trick on the night against VfB Stuttgart.
That hat-trick took Kane up to 61 goals for a single season in all competitions. That is the most anyone has scored since Cristiano Ronaldo (also 61) all the way back in 2014/15.
Just to put that number in perspective, in 11 years, no one, not even the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Luis Suárez, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, or even Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo themselves have managed 61 goals in all competitions.
It goes to show that Kane is operating at the very peak of football right now. Bayern Munich fans are blessed to have such an incredible striker in their ranks, and so soon after their last incredible striker, Lewandowski, left. He certainly makes those 100 million euros seem worth it.
