According to Huffington Post Greece, Karlaftis “married his beloved Kaia Harris in a ceremony that deeply honored his Greek family and roots. And Taylor Swift was there, dancing late into the night at the grand party that followed at One&Only.”
Karlaftis, who signed a four-year, $88 million contract
extension with the Chiefs last year, went all out for the nuptials, a three-day celebration at the five-star resort. “It was a wedding with a Greek soul, family emotion, and international glamour — but without noise,” Huffington Post reported.
Patrick Mahomes salutes KC Current star after Mother’s Day hat trick | Chiefs Wire
In front of a packed crowd at CPKC Stadium, KC Current star Temwa Chawinga managed to score a hat trick that helped her team earn a 3-0 win over the Chicago Stars.
After Chawinga put the ball in the net for a third time, Mahomes removed his cap and saluted the outstanding forward with the rest of Kansas City’s fans.

Bengals claim LB Swayze Bozeman off waivers | Pro Football Talk
Bozeman is a second-year player out of the University of Southern Mississippi. He entered the league as a college free agent signee of the Chiefs in 2024.
Bozeman has played nine career games for the Chiefs (2024) and Giants (2025), totaling five defensive tackles along with four special teams stops.

DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah
The 24-year-old Uzomah missed all of 2025 with injury and enters this season having to fight for his spot. In two years as an NFLer, he has only 24 total solo tackles and three sacks. Uzomah has a promising career ahead of him if he’s truly back to full health but any kind of setback or failure to grasp his opportunity is only going to open the door for a younger, hungrier prospect.
That would be R Mason Thomas in this case. The 6-2, 241-pound edge rusher out of Oklahoma is smaller than the typical model defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo likes but that suggests the latter is looking to evolve. That’s a bad sign for Uzomah who could see his usage dwindle if Spagnuolo opts to deploy Thomas and his speed to get to opposing quarterbacks.
Around the NFL
Payton told reporters that there is a “good chance” we see quarterback Bo Nix on the field in some capacity for June’s minicamp practices, but they will play it safe with him. He also added that Nix will be full-go in July and be ready well ahead of the start of training camp.
As we know, Bo Nix suffered a broken ankle in the final plays of the Broncos’ thrilling overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. He would undergo surgery on his ankle in the following days and was expected to be ready to go come the start of the Broncos’ offseason practices. However, after the draft, news dropped that Nix underwent a cleanup procedure on his ankle, and the timeline for him to be ready shifted to the start of training camp.
This obviously concerned many Broncos fans and media, but today’s update is one that should calm the masses down some. Payton told the media that they will be playing it safe and will be the ones taking it slow, while Nix will be the one pushing to do more. However, the update that he will be out there in some capacity in the month of June is really positive news. Payton added that Nix will be full-go in July, well ahead of the start of Broncos training camp, and that he will have no limitations once those practices begin.
Harbaugh: Odell Beckham Jr. call could wait until training camp | ESPN
New York Giants coach John Harbaugh said he has talked to former star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. three or four times over the past week as they remain in touch about reuniting. But they will “play it out over the next month and into training camp” before making a decision.
Beckham, 33, is currently a free agent. He worked out for the Giants last month and “looked good,” according to Harbaugh.
The Giants’ first-round pick in 2014 out of LSU wants to return to New York. But Harbaugh has emphasized it’s a move that has to make sense for both sides.
“Talked to Odell a lot, probably three of four times in the last week, [see] where he’s at, where we’re at,” Harbaugh said Saturday after a Giants rookie minicamp practice. “He’s in Arizona right now training and spending time with his son. The goal for right now is for him to train and get as ready as he can be. And then we’ll see where we’re at at that time.”

Chiefs used 2026 offseason to insulate Patrick Mahomes from all sides
Kansas City’s complete inability to make opposing quarterbacks uncomfortable last season finally led the team to make a change. It’s no longer enough to have All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones wreck an opposing offensive line 5-10 times per game. He needs his cohorts to win one-on-one opportunities.
Insert 2026 first-round picks, Peter Woods and R Mason Thomas, two players capable of doing exactly that.
Woods can certainly help as an interior rusher next to Jones, but he can also help take some of the load off of Jones’ shoulders as he enters his age-32 season. Jones played more than 80 percent of the snaps through the first 13 games last year. The only other defensive linemen over the age of 30 and weighing 300+ pounds to play 700+ snaps a year ago were Leonard Williams, Zach Seiler, Vita Vea and Jonathan Allen.
Jones and Williams are the players on that list who are also asked to be critical pieces of their respective teams’ pass-rush plans. Asking less of Jones this year could be for the best for everyone involved. Woods’ presence might be exactly what the doctor ordered to get Jones the rest he needs.
