Good morning, BBN!
It was a big night across UK Athletics as a few sports got some big news. Let’s first start in Savannah (GA) with the Kentucky Volleyball team.
After an impressive regular season, Craig
Skinner’s team has been dominating through two matches in Savannah as they knocked off the Tennessee Volunteers last night to advance to the SEC Tournament Championship vs. Texas.
Dropping the first set, the Cats then roared back to win three straight sets to knock the Vols off in four sets. Similar to their matchup in Lexington a few weeks ago, the UK Volleyball team continues a dominant season and will look for a huge win tonight to win the first SEC Tournament Championship in quite some time.
Now, let’s talk football. This season has been far from ideal for most fans, but one of the biggest bright spots has been Cutter Boley.
It has been known for quite some time that the Cats would have to pay to keep him in Lexington, and according to Mark Stoops in his call-in radio show on Monday night, Boley has committed to return to Lexington for the 2026 season.
That is a huge building block, and one Kentucky football hasn’t had since Andre Woodson. Let’s hope it plays in the Cats’ favor this offseason.
