What a comeback season it has been for De’Anthony Melton.
After suffering a season-ending torn ACL last season after only six games played for the Golden State Warriors, Melton was brought back to the Warriors this season in hopes of providing a secondary-ball-handling punch. With injuries to lead ball-handling mainstays in Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler, Melton has been unexpectedly shoved into a primary ball-handling role.
It has been an up-and-down endeavor in that regard for Melton, but all things
considered, he has done an admirable job despite the sudden upscaling toward a role he hasn’t played before. He has been a bedrock of dependability on both ends of the floor — and Warriors fans have come to appreciate his value in that regard.
As can be seen from the image above, a majority of Warriors fans polled by SB Nation seem to think the Warriors will re-sign Melton. The question, however, is if they will have enough to offer Melton — enough to convince him to stay. Other teams will see Melton’s resurgence this season and could offer him more money, beyond what the Warriors are capable of giving him.
Do you think the Warriors will re-sign Melton? Will Melton accept what the Warriors will offer? Or will he choose to sign with another organization. Head on over to https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/navigation/nba to test your luck.
