Penn State’s secondary added more reinforcements with a commitment from former Iowa State safety Jamison Patton late Monday morning.
Patton started the first nine
games of the 2025 season until an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season. He posted 48 tackles and two interceptions in his first season as a starter. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Patton will have one year of eligibility remaining.
As a recruit, Patton was a three-star prospect and the No. 7 recruit from Iowa in the 2023 class. In his final year of eligibility, he is poised to develop into a strong piece of Penn State’s 2026 secondary that also welcomed fellow Iowa State safety Marcus Neal Jr.
