The Cleveland Browns are heading into training camp with a better defensive tackle room than they’ve been getting credit for. Yes, there are definitely some questions surrounding Mike Hall Jr.’s health and what Kalia Davis is going to be for Cleveland, but the talent in the room is undeniable.
Mason Graham and Maliek Collins could also form one of the top defensive tackle duos in the conference in 2026 if new Browns DC Mike Rutenberg can figure out how to utilize them effectively without Myles Garrett
on the outside.

Browns DT Expectations
Best-Case Scenario
Mason Graham and Maliek Collins form a top-tier defensive tackle duo and perform even better than they did in 2025, which was already above-average.
Mike Hall Jr. also figures out a way to stay healthy and becomes a solid rotational interior pass rusher behind Collins at 3-technique. Kalia Davis, who was signed this offseason for his all-around skill set and motor, ends up being a perfect replacement for Shelby Harris as well. Adin Huntington continues to develop into a more athletic version of Sam Kamara, providing quality snaps everywhere along the defensive line.
Worst-Case Scenario
Mason Graham somehow regresses and underperforms in year two, and Maliek Collins ends up being the only quality contributor in the middle of Cleveland’s defense in 2026.
Mike Hall Jr. can’t overcome his lower-body injuries and ends up being closer to retirement than a legitimate contributor for the Browns. Kalia Davis and Adin Huntington show flashes but are ultimately inconsistent.
Browns DT Roster
Improved or Worse Than 2025’s Version
Honestly, it all depends on how Mason Graham looks in 2026. If he at least looks as good as he did last year, and guys like Mike Hall Jr. and Kalia Davis can be productive, this room definitely has the chance to be better than it was in 2025.
On paper, it’s probably reasonable to say that it’s slightly improved right now with Kalia Davis replacing an aging Shelby Harris.
