What is the story about?
The
streak is now over for Bryce Harper. His on base streak ended last night after 35 games, a testament to how well he has done in the past month plus. Coincidence that he didn’t get on base and the Phillies lost the game? I think not.
On to the links.
Phillies news:
- The lawsuit brought against his parents by Alec Bohm has been settled out of court ($). An end to a sad series of events.
- To get the trade for Luis Arraez done, the club needed buy in from Bryce Harper to switch positions. So far, so good I’d say.
MLB news:
- Now that the sale of the Angels is starting to see a finish line, the stories of Arte Moreno’s ownership are going to start coming to the fore.
- Even though I would contend it’s still too early to write something like this, here are trade deadline winners and losers, one month later.
- Stop me if you’ve heard this before: an owner gets a new stadium deal, then says it will lead to more money being spent on players. I’ll believe it when I see it.
