Earlier this offseason, we asked Green Bay Packers fans in The Feed to give each position group on the roster a letter grade heading into training camp. Now that all of the votes have been cast, we can calculate these position groups’ “GPA” and show you which positions that fans are the most confident in and least confident in on the 2026 roster.
Below are the full “GPA” rankings, including the top comment from each batch of voting. There were a couple of surprises to me, but not too many. Safety
starts our list from the top.
Safety: 3.89
Solid Snake: It’s literally the best safety room in the league
Short and to the point.
Quarterback: 3.26
TITLETOWN1TOLOVE: We have a franchise QB with a great year could win the MVP award and a quality experienced backup. We also have 2 young guys to battle for a PS berth and do that developing thing to see if one could be a Love backup QB next year. A all the way.
I wish we had a better long-term answer coming off the bench than 37-year-old Tyrod Taylor, but not too many teams have a significantly better backup than Taylor, either.
Receiver: 2.97
SpeckledFluffyFox: If they need to rely on any of these guys, it means Kraft is broken for good.
This one is a little too harsh for me. I like the top three guys, and expect Christian Watson and Matthew Golden to take a step forward this year (Watson sort of already did in his half-season post-injury). My question here is really the depth when you get past those three.
Tight End: 2.92
adeltoro24: Kraft is really pulling the rest of the boys up here. As Davante used to say, Kraft is a top 2 TE and he’s not #2. No one else on this list is exciting in any specific aspect or that well rounded.
It’s only gotten worse for the Packers’ tight ends since we ran this poll, too, as Luke Musgrave is now dealing with a neck injury that has kept him completely out of practice for the first week of camp. It really is Kraft and everyone else right now.
Linebacker: 2.82
eddiemathews: Oh. I thought you meant the actual room. I’d need a picture.

Edge Defender: 2.66
Lovetoski: Too many unknowns to rate as anything other than incomplete at this point. I’ll let you know in October.
It’s a really young group right now, with Lukas Van Ness, Barryn Sorrell, Brenton Cox Jr., Dani Dennis-Sutton, and Collin Oliver likely to make the 53-man roster before Micah Parsons returns from the PUP list at some point in 2026. A perfectly fair take.
Running Back: 2.39

I’ve never liked Jacobs.
In the last 3 years (1 Raiders, 2 Packers), he has 5 games over 100 rushing yards and 12 under 50 rushing yards. Rushing yards aren’t the be-all-end-all stat but the eye test also tells me he’s not a weapon. Depth is unknown.
Now go rush for 4,000 yards as a team this year 🙂
I think my love for blocking back Chris Brooks would have pushed me into the B range here. I’m also excited to see MarShawn Lloyd contribute this regular season. [Knocks on several pieces of wood.]
Specialists: 2.23
Bearmeat: The only sensible answer IMO is “incomplete.” Rookie kickers usually struggle. But Trey hasn’t had that chance yet. And the punter is awesome.
so I put “C” but I don’t feel great about it.
The punter is great. The kicker and long snappers are question marks, as Matt Orzech is currently dealing with a calf injury. The team brought a veteran in while he’s hurt. I get shrugging your shoulders at the unit.
Defensive Line: 2.20
AJax8: This defensive line has a chance to be much better than most people seem to think, but it’s dependent on Javon Hargrave not being washed. If he’s still 80% of the pass rusher he was in Philly, he and Wyatt are a hell of a duo and are going to make the edge rushers seem a lot better than they are.
I’m less worried about Javon Hargrave, who is still on the PUP list with what the Packers have described as a short-term injury, and more worried about who will play next to Hargrave and Devonte Wyatt in 3-4 base looks. Without Hargrave or Wyatt in team drills, it’s been tough to gauge who has the upper hand right now for that job.
Offensive Line: 2.07
TITLETOWN1TOLOVE: It is an average line right now, and I think it is in the C category. We all want a lot of improvement from these guys yesterday. Without being 5 Star General Obvious, we need to stay healthy, we need to gel, and we need to be the best we can be this coming January. Then we can talk about an improvement over the C. I do think we have some young talent, it is up to the coaches to bring out the best in them. I know a lot of folks think poorly of the coaches we have and maybe that’s a problem also. I’m always a glass half full type so I hope we can toast to the line later this year.
Honestly, I think they’re a below-average line based on how they played overall last year, but playing Jordan Morgan at left tackle, Sean Rhyan at center and Anthony Belton at right guard will help their running game. The big question to me is whether the guards will be a little more consistent this year, particularly in pass protection.
Cornerback: 1.65
Coldworld: I gave it a C. Then again, I’m pretty optimistic that Cisse can help early, at least sufficiently to help make us at least decent. Marlon Jones turned up again in camp today with a pick 6 (Neyor was probably the offensive standout). If Jones from nowhere and Jackson can help too then we might even be better. One can hope. As it stands though, we are a C. Just okay, with or without Nixon.
