Modern football is all about big plays and as a companion piece to the STEP Differential, I’m tracking the Bears big plays all year in this Infogram:
Last year’s tracker is on the second page. Remember that you can click into the tabs on the lower left to see the tally by player and you can hover over any of the shapes on the right hand side of the visual to see a description of each play. Like last year, I’ll color code the plays on the right with the team color of the opponent. New this year I’ve
added a timestamp this year to each play.
I’m also going to try and post a few of the big plays each week as a matter of record keeping. Enjoy!
Bears did a nice job in this game winning each of the three phases of STEP with more sacks (4-1), turnovers (4-1), and explosive plays (5-4). That moves them to an even or positive differential on the year in all three for a very good +23 overall let by a league leading +11 turnover differential.
The best kind of sack includes a strip.
Piggy-back ride.
Anyone know how Rattler held onto that?
How about Nahshon Wright? I’m sure everyone had him in their preseason notes as a playmaker.
Byard has been fantastic since signing in Chicago.
Not an explosive but a cool play from Caleb to Swift.
Kyle Monangai end zone dance…
Maine with the cherry on top.
