Today, the Chicago Stars have announced that German international Kathrin Hendrich has been transferred to FC Köln.
“Kathy is an outstanding player and a great person, and we wish her the best in her next chapter as she returns to Germany,” said Chicago Stars FC President Karen Leetzow. “We look forward to introducing another quality center-back soon to strengthen our back line as we push to improve results in the final stretch of the season.”

The defender signed with the club on June 11, 2025 after five season with Wolfsburg (Frauen Bundesliga). She has played in 23 matches (20 starts). Her leadership was on display as she donned the captain’s armband for four matches.
