Welp, the steady downpour last week in Chicago ensured all my Week 2 predictions would be on life support, but then the game plan from Brian Flores pulled the plug. Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap and recognize when your favorite team is outplayed and outcoached. The Chicago Bears fell 9 to 3 to the Minnesota Vikings, and while the Bears self-inflicted plenty of wounds, Flores called a brilliant game, and his scheme is something the Bears coaches will need to scout and be ready for next time.
This week, the Bears have the Philadelphia Eagles coming to town on Monday Night Football, and prior to the Caleb Williams injury, the Bears were favored in the game, but the early line on Sunday night opened up at Philly -3.5.
But since then, QB2 Tyson Bagent entered concussion protocol, which means QB3 Case Keenum is in line for his first start and first NFL action since 2023.
Our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook currently have the line at Eagles -4.5, with the over/under at 41.5. If you think the Bears can win outright, the moneyline is at +194.
Here are my predictions for the game.
I think the Bears will rally around Keenum and play pissed off after last week’s stinker, which is why I have the Bears winning a close one. I also like the over with no rain in the forecast on Monday night.
Here’s where things get interesting.
I think the Bears will rely on the running game, but when they get down near the goal line, they’ll leak Colston Loveland out for one touchdown and Cole Kmet out for another. You can get Loveland as an anytime TD scorer at +400 and Kmet at +700, but yes, I think they both score, so give me that same game parlay at +3779!
What are your thoughts on the latest odds for the game?
