The Las Vegas Raiders have been dealt with small injuries for most of the year. Now a new player is dealing with issues heading into Week 7.
Linebacker Quay Walker has started the first six games and played solidly. He was on the injury report all week, but after Friday, he was expected to be a full go. That changed on Saturday, when Walker downgraded to questionable before the matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Walker has been dealing with a chest injury, and it’s now up in the air whether he will
suit up. The Raiders need as many linebackers as they can get facing a team that loves heavy personnel. The Rams’ running attack relies on multiple tight ends on the field, leading the league in 13 personnel usage.
If Walker can’t go, Tommy Eichenberg will have a chance to show off his talents. He has played well this season when he has been on the field. The NFL is a next-man-up league, and Eichenberg is a player to fill the void.
