We are closing in on the start of the 2026-27 season. And with that comes the realization that Juventus needs a new starting goalkeeper more than ever before.
Yes, we probably knew it back in the spring, but it’s even more than case now. Then you throw in the fact that Juve are less than two weeks away from the official start to their season, then you can only see alarm bells going off in terms of what this club is going to do to try and solve the problem of Michele Di Gregorio in goal.
Do they stay
in-house and just give Mattia Perin the job?
Do they sign somebody on a season-long loan while working for a long-term solution in the forthcoming months and transfer window(s)? Do they just bite the bullet now and go for somebody this summer?
It’s all very much a giant question mark right now — which is not exactly how you want to see things looking with the season opener fast approaching.
