Kentucky Basketball transfer target Rob Wright is set to visit Lexington on Monday, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
It’s the first visit of any kind Wright has taken since entering the portal. Some thought he would skip taking visits and just go to the highest bidder/best fit, so getting him on campus is a major development for Kentucky.
Oh, and this will happen as the Wildcats host top-ranked recruit Tyran Stokes for a visit starting Sunday night, so it appears they’re working to land both
of these high-level players to form the core of next season’s roster.
The 6-1, 183-pound guard averaged 18.1 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds across 34.8 minutes per game this season. He shot 46.7% from the field and 41% from 3-point range on four attempts per outing.
As a true freshman at Baylor during the 2024-25 season, he averaged 11.5 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.1 boards in 29.4 minutes per game while shooting 41.4% from the field and 35.2% from deep on 2.5 attempts per game.
Wright is currently ranked No. 6 overall in the On3 transfer portal rankings for the 2026 cycle.
Big couple of days on deck for the future of Kentucky Basketball.
