Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou vs Bama.
The Wednesday night SEC injury report was released for Mizzou vs Alabama. As Eli Drinkwitz announced at his press conference on Tuesday, Cayden Green remains questionable.
Cayden Green will be listed as questionable this week. He did get some rehab reps yesterday. The challenge will be to see where he is today and see how that progresses. Won’t know for sure or for certain until the end of the week.
Here’s the full injury report — with no new injuries from Mizzou.
On the Alabama side, the biggest name is Ryan Williams — who is listed as probable.
Elsewhere, a fun interaction between Eli Drinkwitz and Kalen DeBoer on the SEC teleconference.
Mizzou is also on a recruiting heater, and it looks like it’s going to get even better.

There are a lot of question marks coming into the season, but also a lot of positive things to build on from last season. Mark Mitchell and Anthony Robinson should be enough to keep the Tigers competitive through the SEC, but they’ll need help from some other guys to step up if they want to make a splash.
Mizzou Basketball season is around the corner and I’m pumped!
Can the Tigers do the unthinkable and finish undefeated? Is this a 1-2 loss team that will make the CFP? Or is Mizzou simply not as good as we thought?
Needless to say, Alabama on Saturday is the litmus test.
And, so far, the offense is thriving in a run-first-second-and-third approach while the defense feels a little leakier than we would prefer but still an elite-level squad.
Mizzou’s defense has some question marks, but they’re still pretty damn good!
Adding to the narrative, the men’s national and regional profile is on the rise. Evidence from last week’s USTFCCCA national coaches’ poll, the men are currently ranked #20, the highest for Mizzou men since 1998, while the women’s team occupies #24 nationally.
Some good Mizzou cross country updates from Sophie!
Illinois should be very good this year. Talentwise possibly a top 10 roster. We’ll see if Big Brad can put it all together this season.
Braggin’ Rights would be a statement win for Mizzou this year if the Tigers can get it.
Eli Drinkwitz and Mike Kelly returned to Harpo’s Tuesday for Tiger Talk ahead of a historic matchup against Alabama.
The last time Mizzou beat Alabama? 1975.
Here’s what Drinkwitz, Brett Norfleet and Santana Banner had to say:
