We’re in day two of the offseason here, and life is starting to move on as the team packs up their lockers and prepares to clean out Yankee Stadium for the winter. The rest of the league is definitely
moving on, with the Dodgers becoming the second team to punch their ticket to the LCS while the Cubs continued their season another day by forcing a Game 5 against the Brewers with a commanding shutout win. Today will see the ALCS be set with either the Tigers or Mariners advancing, and then by Saturday we’ll have our final four confirmed.
Today on the site, we’ll be taking it easy as we continue to transition over to offseason-mode. Josh shares his thoughts on Cam Schlittler’s ability to adapt when dealing with the Blue Jays in Game 4 and how promising it looks for his place in next year’s rotation, and then Matt covers the NLDS action from Thursday in greater detail. Sam gives us the latest 2000 Diary entry as the dynastic Yanks enter the ALCS, and finally I’ll be back later in the afternoon to answer your latest questions in the mailbag.
