What is the story about?
We’re
just a few hours away from the Green Bay Packers kicking off their 2026 preseason in Pittsburgh. As far as we know, the starters will be playing a couple of series in the game before the backups start filling up the rest of the time.
With that being said, what are you looking for tonight?
Here are a couple of things I’ll be paying attention to:
- How is RB MarShawn Lloyd, who has been limited to 10 snaps in two regular seasons, looking? Right now, he’s probably the team’s #2 ball-carrier, and #1 if anything ever happens to Josh Jacobs.
- The offensive line has been churning players in and out of the top lineup in recent weeks. Guys like Jacob Monk, Jager Burton and Donovan Jennings have been pressing for playing time. What do they look like when the bullets are live?
- Are Barryn Sorrell and Warren Brinson legit? They looked pretty good in the Family Night practice, but I’m not sure if that’s a product of them taking the next step or them getting to play the Packers’ offensive line.
- I also want to know if there’s anything that Jonathan Gannon held back in Family Night. So far, we’ve seen the team play a 3-4 defense, variations of a Nickel defense and a Penny defense. Is there more or is that what they’re going to major in this year?
